BROOK PARK, Ohio — Avalon Precision Castings is closing its manufacturing facility in Brook Park and its machine shop in North Royalton, which will lead to 55 people losing their jobs, according to a state filing.

In a layoff notice filed to the state, the company said it would close its facility at Brookpark Road on the Brook Park side of the Cleveland border and the shop on York-Delta drive in North Royalton.
