Top 100 Nonprofits Awards Gala (Spirit of the Fair)

Spirit of the Fair announced the Top 100 Nonprofit Awards Gala Fundraiser in Grants Pass, Oregon, on Thursday, September 29th from 6pm - 10:30pm at Vista 222 located at 222 Missouri Flat Road.

This event is for local nonprofit organizations and business leaders wanting to connect with other like-minded individuals. Proceeds from the awards gala benefit both Canine Angels Service Teams 501(c)(3) nonprofit (Service Dogs for Youth with Disabilities) and the nonprofit award winners.

This first annual gala will quickly become a staple of Southern Oregon for community leaders to come together and will also be an event everyone strives to be part of. A few additional goals of the fundraiser are to have sponsors help raise money for Canine Angels and all the award winners, as well as to provide free dinners for the well deserving and hardworking Top 100 Nonprofit representatives. There has already been loads of support acquiring tickets from others in the community so even if unable to attend, tickets can be purchased for nonprofit leaders to attend.

During the event, guests will be able to connect with others in the community—executives, small business owners and even volunteers. They will also be able to enjoy an amazing evening at a beautiful venue. Vista 222 (formerly Serra Vineyards) is now a private wine country venue for just about any special occasion. The views and experiences are out of this world, the staff is all amazing, and any night there will be one to remember!

Vista 222 is no longer a traditional winery, although they still grow and sell grapes to local businesses and wine at private events. They now host weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, and even have multiple wine clubs and monthly community dinners. They are also building small cottages for people to rent for the weekend (vista222.com).

For this event, Spirit of the Fair had custom metal fabrication trophies designed by TAZ Fabrication to acknowledge the top performing nonprofit organizations in the Southern Oregon region. They are one-of-a-kind and will be unique every year. There are currently eight categories for the awards ranging from the Legacy Award (Overall Impact in the Community) to the Nonprofit of the Year Award (Most Supportive Team). Winners are all nominated and chosen by the community.

Dinner will be served by Casa Amiga Mexican Restaurant, music by Rogue Valley DJs, and fun games by Spirit of the Fair. Tickets are only $25 per person and includes dinner, dessert (drinks separate), and entertainment, including multiple Canine Angels puppies in training. Anyone can attend with the purchase of a ticket and/or sponsorship. The goal is to sell 300 tickets and they are going fast.

“Although the last three years have been tough getting this amazing community organization started, everything is finally coming together and it feels even more amazing to get the approval and support from so many in the community,” Creator and President of Spirit of the Fair Shane Russell. “We had a great time being part of many of the large events in Grants Pass this year. There is much more to come!”

Spirit of the Fair is community, commitment, inclusion, engagement, giving, fundraising, community service, education, excitement, and entertainment. They focus on impacting local communities in ways that have never been done before through keeping the spirit of the fair alive 365 and utilizing the philosophy of “give first — give back — give often.”
